NCAA and EPIC Risk Management announce gambling harm education program

As part of the NCAA’s longstanding commitment to protecting the health of student-athletes and the integrity of collegiate athletics, the NCAA has partnered with EPIC Risk Management to provide its members with a comprehensive gambling harm and student-athlete protection education program doing.

The program will be available at all NCAA campuses and conferences later this year and will combine delivery options such as in-person educational workshops and seminars, pre-recorded sessions, and on-demand virtual resources. Educational materials are strategically focused to educate student-athletes, coaches, administrators, game officials, healthcare, and support personnel.

Stan Wilcox, NCAA executive vice president of regulatory affairs, said: “The NCAA continues to evaluate the evolving sports betting environment and is committed to providing schools and conferences with tools, resources and educational initiatives.”
