Minnesota Timberwolves

Knight, Nowell and Rivers look like pretty safe bets to join the 12 players with guaranteed salaries on the 15-man regular season roster, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet. The partial guarantees owed to Rivers ($650,000) and Knight ($350,000) are modest enough that the Wolves can theoretically go the other way without needing a lot of money.

Still, players like Elvie and Garza will need to really impress Minnesota in training camp and preseason to make a regular-season team.

oklahoma city thunder

With 17 players in guaranteed contracts and Krejci owing a partial guarantee of $782,000, the Thunder will have to trade or release at least three players in standard deals before opening night. there is. Bazley, Favors, Jerome, Maledon, and Krejci are among his players whose roster spots may not yet be 100% guaranteed.

Additionally, Oklahoma City has no two-way openings, but it wouldn’t be a shock if the team made a change to one of their two-way slots over the next month and a half. Like Waters, his second-year player on his two-way contract often has a tenuous spot in the rotation if he has yet to prove himself as a player.

portland trailblazers

Coming out of luxury tax tax territory, the Trail Blazers are unlikely to fill the 15th roster and could return to being taxable. Miller, Roden, Cacok and Searle are all eligible to convert their Exhibit 10 contracts into two-way deals, so there could be open competition at camp.

utah jazz

got more players than they sent out Donovan Mitchell, Rudy GobertWhen Patrick Beverley Trade, the Jazz now have a logjam of rosters to clear. They must trade or give up at least two players with contract guarantees before the regular season is over.

There are still several trade candidates left on the Utah roster, including Beasley, Bogdanovic, Volmalo, Clarkson, Conley, Gaye and Johnson, so say whose roster spots are at stake at this point. If multiple players in that group move in the coming weeks, the issue may eventually be resolved (e.g. in exchange for three players Russell Westbrook Draft compensation quickly clears overages.)
