2022 ACC/Big Ten Challenge scores, schedule, predictions: UNC travels to Indiana, Duke hosts Ohio State

The final night of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge takes place on deck with Wednesday’s mouth-watering matches. Trips to Ohio State’s No. 25 Duke No. 17 and North Carolina No. 18 Indiana No. 10 are highlighted. This will be the final year of the challenge as the ACC head off in a new direction to face the SEC in a non-conference series starting next season.

Two days later, with the ACC leading 5-3 and six games remaining, especially Indiana and Duke, it could be a memorable final night. It is the first time that an opponent has visited. So for games with high stakes, the environment should be noisy. North Carolina continues his second straight loss to IU’s Assembly Hall, with Duke taking his 19-point loss at the hands of Purdue.

Speaking of the No. 6 Boilermakers, they’re at Florida State University as big favorites for Seminole teams looking to dig out holes 1-7. In other action, Miami will host Rutgers, Notre Dame will host the 20th Michigan State University, and Nebraska will host Boston College. Each game is a chance to build momentum before league play begins.

Here’s Wednesday’s expert selection of action from the CBS Sports Crew as we bid farewell to the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

Featured games | | Duke Blue Devils vs. Ohio State Buckeyes

In four games away from Cameron Indoor Stadium, Duke has shot a vicious 18.8% from 3-point range. In four games at home, the 3-point shot success rate was 37.4%. The Blue Devils put him 5 of 40 combined in his two losses away from home. The home-court advantage is huge for Duke here, and the Blue Devils need to shoot from the outside just enough to cover an Ohio team that might struggle with the length of Duke’s front. Pick: Duke -5.5

No. 5 Purdue and Florida

Featured games | | Florida State Seminoles vs. Purdue Boilermakers

These are, for a variety of reasons, two of the most surprising teams in the country so far this season.Purdue went 6-0 and after losing stars Jaden Ivey and Trevion Williams from last season’s squad, Gonzaga and Duke. With his 1-7 record, Florida State is well on its way to a historically bad season. Things should get better for the Seminoles in the end, but it’s hard to see that happening here.Purdue can’t cover this huge spread as one of their biggest strengths is their rebound. increase. This is one of Florida State’s biggest weaknesses. Pick: Purdue -14.5

Rutgers and Miami

7:15 PM | ESPNU and Hubo TV (Try it for free)

Rutgers center Cliff Omolui will be a matchup problem for the smaller Hurricanes. The junior, who has 6 wins and 11 seconds, is averaging 16.8 points and 10 rebounds per game, with Scarlett his Knights excelling defensively. Miami still hasn’t figured it out, notching nearly 15 turnovers in his close win at UCF on Sunday. Pick: Rutgers +3

No. 18 north carolina at number 10 Indiana

9:15 p.m. | ESPN and Hubo TV (Try it for free)

After playing at home against the likes of Morehead State, Bethune Cookman, Little Rock and Jackson State, the Hoosiers finally have their marquee opponents in the Assembly Hall. This place is going to be an absolute frenzy to see Indiana his team, one of the most high profile of the past few seasons, draw another blue blood. North Carolina fully showed its flaws earlier this season, and they still don’t have enough defense to handle a dynamic Indiana team in this environment. Pick: Indiana -6.5

No. 20 Michigan and Notre Dame

9:15 PM | ESPN2 and Hubo TV (Try it for free)

Michigan State has struggled to force turnovers so far this season, with Notre Dame having one of the lowest turnovers in the nation. The Fighting Irish takes charge of basketball at home and hits his shot with a ton of his three points. His only loss so far was the only one away from home, and that’s because his 3-pointer made only 2 of his 17 shots from his range. Playing this game elsewhere would pick the Spartans. Pick: Notre Dame +1.5

boston college and Nebraska

9:15 PM | ESPNU and Hubo TV (Try it for free)

Boston College allows just 62.1 points per game, making the Eagles a strong defensive team unlikely to be blown away by a Nebraska team playing at a relatively slow pace. BC has one of the worst 3-point shooting teams in the country so far this season, but he’s got nowhere to go other than rising from an average of 4.1 3-pointers made per game. It’s not like a bad shooting night spells doom for the Eagles, as they hit against Wyoming and Road from the deep in his final two games, where he combined looks 4-of-27 and both won the Pick: Boston University +6
