2022 AP Preseason All-America team: Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State lead the way in first-team selections

Alabama, Georgia When Ohio are three Blue Blood programs predicted to be gunning for a national championship this season, so the trios are included in one of the most representative programs for the All-American team in the 2022 preseason AP. That’s no surprise.

The Crimson Tide joined Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Bryce Young and CBS Sports Preseason Player of the Year Will Anderson Jr., along with defensive backs Jordan Buttle and Elric, who were the Tide’s first team selections.

The Buckeyes finished close behind with five selections and three first team picks. Quarterback CJ Stroud, a year-old Heisman finalist, is on his second team after Young, but offensive lineman Paris Johnson Jr., running back Trebillon Henderson, and receiver ‘s Jackson Smith-Niziba earned a first-team spot.

In Georgia, tight end Brock Bowers earned a first-team spot in 2021 after leading the defending national champions in receiving yards. Kansas Deuce Vaughn, all-around player, USC With guard Andrew Voorhees Notre Dame Edge rusher Isiah Foskey ranks among other First Team nods.

The AP Preseason All-America teams will be chosen by the same panel that votes for the AP Top 25. Check out both full teams below.
