Indianapolis –The 24-team field for the 2022 NCAA Division I Football Championship was announced today by the NCAA Division I Football Championship Committee.
South Dakota (10-1), winners of the Missouri Valley Football Conference, has made 11 straight championship appearances and is the top seed. Jackrabbits went undefeated in his FCS competition, defeating all ten of his opponents on schedule.

Sacramento State (11-0) is the second seed that automatically qualifies from the Big Sky Conference. The Hornets made their third overall appearance after maintaining his second consecutive undefeated streak in the conference.
