Dukes The final roster under legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski for the 2021-22 season will be down as one of the best in the program’s history in terms of NBA talent after Thursday’s Blue Devils banner draft night. Five Duke players heard their name called in the 58 picks that set the record for schools and ACC in the second round.

Of Duke’s five selections, four participated in the first round, four of which chose Paolo Banchero, who ranked first overall. Following Banchero were 2nd grade Center Mark Williams (No. 15), Freshman Wing AJ Griffin (No. 16), Junior Wing Wendell Moore Junior (No. 26), and Freshman Guard Trevor Keels (No. 42). .. In summary, these five helped lead the Blue Devils to the 32-7 mark and play in the Final Four as Krzyzewski’s 42nd and final season coaches.

Blue Devils was one of the few college teams to have multiple players selected on Thursday night, but only Duke chose three or more players. Krzyzewski has taken over the role of head coach to former Duke Star and Associate Head Coach Jon Scheyer, but the program simply seems to be reloading the NBA’s talents.

With the number one freshman class in the United States arriving to replenish the team’s 2022-23 roster, Blue Devils is ready for another big draft night in 2023. According to 247Sports, the program’s 2023 recruitment class is also ranked number one. The team ranking features four of the top 25 prospects nationwide.
