Click here for Week 1 NCAA Division I Women’s Cross Country National Coaches’ Poll for the 2022 season, announced by the United States Track and Field Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Tuesday. This vote was based on votes from 11 member coaches (one from each of his nine regions in the division (which he also does regional rankings for)) and two members of his NCAA Cross Country Executive Committee. Note that this is done by counting .

Cross Country Voting and Rankings

All the top teams remained stable from preseason through week 1 of the national coaches vote. North Carolina still ranks him #1, New Mexico #2, Colorado #3, Oklahoma #4, #5. Stamford. The Wolfpack is set to start the season on Friday at the Adidas XC Challenge, where he earned his first-place vote out of all 11 votes. Cowgirl and Cardinal opened the year in college competition and showed their depth. Oklahoma hosted the Cowboy Preview. Stanford triumphs at the University of San Francisco Invitational.

The rest of the top 10 didn’t move much either. Notre Dame at No. 6, BYU at No. 7, Washington at No. 8, Arkansas at No. 9, and now he is joined by Alabama at No. 10. The Crimson Tide improved him two spots off the preseason bill after an 18-point victory over the Lions in his opener.

Several teams improved their Week 1 standings throughout the remainder of the National Coaches Pole. No. 13 North Carolina (up one from No. 14), No. 17 Oregon (up two from No. 19), No. 21 Northern Arizona (up one from No. 22), No. 24 Iowa (up two from No. 16), 27th Illinois (up one from 28th). Fuhrman, who previously had preseason votes, is now ranked No. 28 after sweeping the USC Upstate Eye Opener Invitational.

Mark your calendars for November 19th. 2022 NCAA DI Cross Country Championships It will be held at the OSU Cross Country Course in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Remember, the winning race will be broadcast commercial-free again on ESPNU.
