2023 hoops targets Zayden High, Isaiah Collier, visiting Michigan this week

The Michigan Wolverines The men’s basketball program has not yet landed a commitment from the 2023 class, but this week two top targets will visit Ann Arbor and at least one hopes to land soon.

As reported by Davis Moseley of Maize and Blue Review, the 4-star power forward Zayden High is now in his official form. And as reported by Jared Greenspan on UMHoops.comThe 5-star point guard Isaiah Collier will make an official visit later this week.

The highest is the overall outlook for 35th place in the 2023 class 247Sports composite, And the 8th best power forward and the 2nd best adopter from Arizona. He has collected offers from many schools, including Arkansas, Houston and Alabama.

It’s easy to see why High has risen as a prospect because he has a guard ball handling with a 6’9, 225 lb frame. He is also incredibly skilled on the offensive side and seems to be okay to play many roles. He’s a spot-up shooter who can make 3 out of catch or make quick moves to make great midrange shots with smooth shoot strokes.

High is also an excellent defender who should be able to enliven the Chrisler Center spectators with some two-handed finishes.

Collier, on the other hand, is one of the most popular new hires in his class across the country, and it makes sense given that he is in ninth place. On composite, Second among point guards and first among recruits from Georgia. He got an offer from Alabama, Florida, Texas tech, UCLANorth Carolina and Auburn, to name a handful.

Collier has a good court vision and perfectly timed the ball to Rollman. He is also an excellent cutter from the ball. Even when the defender cuts him at the baseline of the drive, he does a great job of finding Openman and keeping his play alive.

When driving to the rim, Collier already looks like a veteran point guard. He has already mastered the ability to break the defense and change pace to keep guessing before the defender throws it away or finishes his own play. He also has a reliable three-point shot and does a great job of creating space for himself with jabs and stepbacks.

Landing a commitment from one of these guys would be tremendous for the program as they both have the advantage of growing into a star.
