3 things from a surprisingly fun Summer League Mavericks loss to the Jazz, 83-82

For those who maintain their scores at home, Dallas Mavericks I lost just one point in both games of the Summer League. These games are irrelevant. (Unless you’re gambling at the Mavericks, I’m sorry in that case.)

Tonight’s match has been looking for a while towards Utah’s biased victory. They maintained a 12-point lead in about half of the fourth quarter. But then the Mavericks found some fights among them and was an aggressive rebound of Tacko Fall who didn’t have a chance to win the game with a buzzer. oh well.

Here are three things from tight losses.

crime Stink

There is no word to explain how hard it was for either team to put the ball in the basket at the start of the game, but you can give it a try.

When you’re playing pickup basketball with nine other people who haven’t actually played basketball before, do you guys stand up a bit and stare at each other in the hope that someone will do something good? It’s like the beginning of tonight’s game. That was all the bad things about the Summer League wrapped in 10 minutes.

The final score at the end of the first quarter was 17-12 Dallas, but the score was that high as both teams shot a few difficult shots in the last few minutes. We could have easily seen much worse.

The Mavs can thank Jerrick Harding for almost everything the attack could do to get the game started. Harding scored 14 of Dallas’ first 19 points.

Jaden Hardy was stinking

Jaden Hardy surprised NBA fans during Dallas’ first Summer League match. He was Awesome..

Tonight, but? Not so many.

Hardy scored 14 points with the worst 4 to 15 shots from the field and ended the game with four turnovers and seven fouls. It was just a bad game.

Still okay! When people say “relax, it’s just the Summer League,” this is the type of game they’re talking about. Indeed, Hardy missed many shots, made a modest defense and made some weird decisions. But that’s all right.. He is young. He is still fun to watch.

AJ Lawson continues to shine

Along with Hardy, AJ Lawson was the main issue after the Mavericks’ first Summer League match. And after the second game, Lawson should promote the conversation again.

Tonight, Lawson scored 15 points with 6 of 11 shots from the field, achieving 12 rebounds, 3 stocks and zero turnovers. He also made some great defenses.

If Lawson continues what he is doing, he may enter into a two-way contract with the Mavericks. He proved he was a legitimate NBA talent.
