However, even GOAT has literally hit a few brick walls. Specifically, Ron Artest broke her ribs when he collided with Metta Sandiford Artest in 2001.

Metta Sandiford Artest stayed home for two days after giving Michael Jordan a broken rib in 2001.

A year after Michael Jordan left the NBA, the Chicago Bulls drafted a premier defender named Ron Artest, now known as Metta Sundiford Artest. The 6’7 inch small forward was an absolute threat on the court.

Known for his indomitability, Artest has been embroiled in a number of incidents on the court. This includes the infamous Malice in the Palace incident.

He got into many controversial situations, but none of the backlash swayed him. But when he broke MJ’s ribs in 2001, he had little comfort!

“And he called me and said, ‘Hey, are you okay?’ I said, ‘No, I think I hurt Michael Jordan.’ Then came out: Michael Jordan’s ribs were broken. And Metta World Peace got into a fight with Michael Jordan. And I say, ‘I never fought Michael Jordan. They said, “He punched Michael Jordan.” And I’m like, “Oh man…”

Luckily for Artest, the 6’6-inch Bulls legend held no grudges. In fact, it was the Hall of Fame call that got me into the Hall of Fame, so I finally got out of bed two days later.
