The ACC, SEC and ESPN have announced the creation of the ACC/SEC Challenge for Men’s and Women’s Basketball beginning the 2023-24 season.
With the introduction of the ACC/SEC Challenge, the 23-year-old ACC/Big Ten Challenge will come to an end, as will the SEC/Big Ten Challenge, which began in 2013.
The ACC/SEC Challenge will feature 28 games in men’s and women’s basketball through 2025-26, when Texas and Oklahoma join the SEC and the event expands to 30 games.

Each of the 28 games will be shown on the ESPN platform.

The final ACC/Big Ten Challenge took place this week, and despite the Big Ten winning it three years in a row, the ACC is leading an all-time 12-8-3 series. Wednesday’s North Carolina trip to Indiana is the season’s headliner.
The final SEC/Big 12 Challenge will take place on January 28, 2023.
