Clayton also lost to Nebraska, dropping from seventh in last week’s poll to 21st this week.

Arizona also dropped from 4th to 10th after suffering its first loss of the year in an 81-66 loss to Utah. Kerr Kriisa went his 9-1 out of the field, missing all five of his 3-point attempts, and the other Wildcats failed to produce enough offense in the loss.

No team has suffered more than North Carolina, which spent its first few weeks in No. 1 in AP polls. The Tar Heels extended their losing streak to four games in road losses against Indiana and Virginia Tech. Armando Bako was sidelined after a recent loss, but his performances were still disappointing for a team with high expectations.

UNC fell out of the ranks just two weeks after taking the top spot in the polls.

Indiana, meanwhile, lost the next game to Rutgers, 63–48, after defeating North Carolina.

Virginia and Purdue are among those added to their resumes with strong wins to remain undefeated, but much uncertainty remains once conference play begins.

Connecticut improved to 9-0 on the season to take fifth place, while 8-0 Maryland is currently in 13th place.
