Brian Windhorst name drops Dallas as a potential Lebron destination

Appeared in Ringer’s Bill Simmons PodcastESPN analyst Brian Windhorst, better known as the LeBron Whisperer, said: Dallas Mavericks As a sneaky contender for the final stages of LeBron James’ career due to his affinity with Luka Doncic. This isn’t the first time he’s mentioned such a concept. Five months ago on ESPN’s NBA TodayWindhorst alluded to it by saying that LeBron loves playing with Luca.

LeBron’s love for Luca wasn’t just spoken indirectly. He answered the question who was his favorite young player. Twitter Q&A Luca is his “favorite player” and generally implies his favourite. He selects him in each All-Star draft (although Luca resembles a tee-ball outfielder playing with Ali in the game itself). Windhorst said he wanted Luca to be a Clutch client before LeBron joined Jordan. If LeBron could bring a player to Los Angeles, it would be a Slovenian superstar.

Well, you shouldn’t ski ahead here. The Mavericks were simply worth mentioning, after Windhorst said it would be difficult to see LeBron anywhere other than L.A. or Cleveland. We agreed to be the driving force behind the movement. The Cavaliers with LeBron are a scary superteam. They also cast a light on how LeBron’s growing public interest in Stephen Curry, combined with the laziness and ambition of Warrior’s salary, makes them viable for superstars.

There are also many unknowns about LeBron’s future. He wants to play with his son Bronnie. Currently ranked #34 on 247sports.com Comprehensive recruitment ranking for the 2023 class. The fact that he may not be a lottery-level prospect creates an intriguing scenario where teams could draft a son purely to seduce his father — an unprecedented situation in the NBA. We’re sure to hear a lot more about all of this as the next offseason rears its head.

If you’re dreaming a little bigger, the podcast host and his guest made an interesting point about the intricacies of Cleveland or the Golden State as destinations. LeBron said passing the torch to his style heir without another All-Star would either join the current dynasty or Cleveland. Think it’s cheaper than creating a new dynasty with four other All-Star contenders in ? Maybe it’s the perfect balance of controversy and story. Honoring Jason Kidd publicly Jared Dudley lakers day to day. It’s safe to say that Vegas puts us at odds he’s 5th or so on his list.

But then again, much like other star destination conversations, the Mavericks seem like an afterthought. , I can’t imagine anything more unhealthy for an organization to count on. I can’t handle the trauma of the plan powder built around LeBron James. I know, but I think we all want to dream up something that feels more tangible after Donny Nelson’s “Big Fish” days often ended in disappointment.

For now, please keep this on file as a fun idea, not a serious rumor.
