Can Gonzaga Finally Win an NCAA Championship in 2022-23?

Now that you’ve fallen in love with both college and NFL football, it’s time to shift your focus to college basketball.

Let’s get started right away. I’ve been all over Gonzaga basketball for the past few seasons. Year after year, the Bulldogs dominate the West Coast Conference, play quality basketball on an out-of-league schedule, and thrive in the NCAA Tournament.

But they couldn’t get over the hump.

However, this is irrelevant to the odds makers. 3rd year in a row – According to BetOnline.ag, Gonzaga is a frontrunner to win the NCAA Tournament. Here are the top 10:

2023 NCAA Men’s Basketball Champions

Gonzaga +750

North Carolina +800

Kentucky +1000

Houston +1100

Kansas +1400

Baylor +1400

Arkansas +1600

Clayton +1800

Duke +1800

UCLA +1800

Forward Drew Timm is back at Gonzaga for his senior season, looking to lead the Bulldogs to the Promised Land. The two-time Second Team All-American and his 2022 WCC Player of the Year is hungry for another chance at the title.

Junior Julian Strother will also return to the team in 2022. The 6’7-inch guard made 31 appearances for the Zags last year and he scored 11.8 points per game. They will count on him to continue improving in his third year at Spokane.

Malachi Smith is a huge addition to the Gonzaga team. A transfer guard from UT-Chattanooga, in 2021-22 he led the Mocs to his NCAA Tournament and was a mid-major player that year. Smith’s addition is why in 2022-23 he will win the Bulldogs again to win the NCAA title.

my choice: Gonzaga +750
