Bruins has taken the next step in hiring one of the fastest-growing prospects in the West.
UCLA Football has sent a scholarship offer to the class of 2023 athlete Donavyn Pellot. This is a Silverado High School (NV) product announced on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon. Perot has been primarily a Skyhawks running back and safety, but the college is primarily targeting him as a linebacker.
Perot also has offers from Arizona, Arizona, BYU, Colorado, Colorado, Fresno, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico, Northern Arizona, UNLV, Utah, Washington and Washington.
There are currently 15 offers, 7 of which are from the Power Five program, but Pellot’s adoption has had little momentum until this spring. All his 15 offers were made after April 21st and recorded double-digit numbers just a month later.
The Pac-12 school group seems to be popular in involving Pellot’s future efforts. Bruins are now trying to add themselves head-on to the mix. Perot will officially visit Arizona and Washington over the next two weekends.
Those power programs really caught the wind of Perot after his breakout junior season when he starred on both sides of the ball for Silverado.

Perot rushed to 592 yards and 10 touchdowns at 9.9 yards per carry, and 632 yards and 7 touchdowns at 29 receptions.
On the defensive side of the ball, Perot lost 66 tackles and 2.0 tackles, made two forced fumbles, took three passes and split another six. The 6-foot-2,210-pound outlook regained two of his intercepts for the touchdown, in addition to the punt return touchdown.
According to 247Sports, Pellot is a 3-star rookie, but since it’s recently appeared, it hasn’t been rated by Rivals, ESPN, or On3. 247Sports has nailed him as the 11th-ranked prospect in Nevada and the 8th-ranked prospect among uncommitted people.
UCLA currently has four commitments to the 2023 recruitment class, three of which are on the defensive side of the ball. The 4-star Tre Edwards is a true linebacker, and the 3-star Ty Lee is a safety / linebacker hybrid like Pellot.
All four of Bruins’ current commitments are from California, and of the 36 uncommitted new hires, 21 went to the state outlook.
