who will be this year Iowa? or wake forest?

So, which teams will surprise us in a positive way in 2022-2023? Iowa State has moved up from his 2-22 wins in 2020-21 to his 22 wins and Sweet 16 last season. Wake Forest narrowly missed his Madness in the March, but the Demon Deacons improved from his 6 wins to his 25 wins.

Some team or teams are almost guaranteed to come out of nowhere this season. The trick is finding them. That is the task given to his 17-member expert panel for today’s topic. As you can see from the results, there was no consensus pick and 15 different teams gave him at least one vote. who is right?

So let’s hear the expert’s rationale.

Miami

Isaiah Wong He is one of the most underrated players in the country despite playing a key role in Miami’s elite eight run last season. He returned and added his two transfers the Hurricanes were better in the country. Norchad Ommie — Attack guru Jim Larranaga has a lot of pieces to use. — Brendan Marks

The past year has been a flash of incredible potential. Isaiah, often in the form of crazy runs led by her Wong, came together in an unexpected elite run of her Eights. The team this year has arguably added the top transfers available in the Nijel Pack, even though he lost two of the best players in that run. Nicole Orbach

Texas A&M

Buzz Williams’ program trajectory, especially his Virginia Tech, you know, it’s gotten to the point where rebuilding jobs stop being mean and start to get real. Talentedly, Aggies A year ago, very few businesses were entering this space. This time they will usually be good. — Eamon Brennan

It’s easy to make fun of Buzz Williams for his opposition to the NCAA Tournament selection process and his rant when his Aggies, who lost eight straight in the middle of the season, missed out last year. But he won 12 of his last 15 games, and the majority of that team that rallied to make his game a championship in both the SEC and the NIT, has something to prove. i’m back. I think they’ve entered the tournament and are making progress. — Kyle Tucker

Cincinnati

of bearcats Last season stumbled, but brought back some standouts (David De Julius, Micah Adams-Woods When Jeremiah Davenport) and added some interesting transfers (Landers Nolly, Rob Finnishy).Additionally, Americans may be fine after houston, giving Wes Miller a chance to escape. — Hugh Kellenberger

Dayton

Dayton. There were no winners when COVID shut down the 2020 postseason, but it was a particularly raw deal for the Dayton team, which went 29-2 and was probably the #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. After a few seasons, Dayton reminds everyone how great the program was and could be again. Justin Williams

Florida

I’m surprised there aren’t many Seminoles on the preseason top 25 list.2nd grade class led by Matthew Cleveland When Jalen Worley Incredibly talented and now experienced. Additionally, they have done a great job of finding a Leonard Hamilton-style man on the transfer portal over the past two years. Camron Fletcher, Jaylan Gainey and Darrin Green. This roster should fit together and contend for the top three spots in the ACC. — Sam Bethenny

Illinois

It may sound wild with Kofi Cockburn and the team’s starting backcourt moving forward, but Illinois has won the Big Ten. Sky Clark Lead a high-load group of newcomers, including Baylor Migration Matthew MayerAlso, the Big Ten is no good. — Joe Rexlord

LSUs

Given that Matt McMahon started his tenure with zero scholarship players and Will Wade’s tenure still stinks low, I don’t think anyone imagined a plausible success in his first year.with Juice Hill KJ Williams Arguably the SEC’s starting caliber player, McMahon can flat out coach. Don’t be surprised if they dance. — Brendan Quinn

ole miss

of traitor They finished 13-19 last year, their worst record under Kermit Davis, but it should be noted that two of the top scorers missed a significant amount of time due to injuries. They recalled his five of his six top scorers a year ago and added Sunbelt Defensive Player of the Year. Theo Akba and MAC Defensive Player of the Year Josh MbalaNot to mention a few freshmen who are supposed to make an impact. — Tobias Bass

Purdue

Overlook Purdue and Matt Painter at your own discretion. He is tall (as always) and has a quality backcoat.the boiler should be right there Indiana in big ten races. — Scott Doctorman

TCU

Last year was Jamie Dixon’s best season at TCU. The Horned Frogs made it to the NCAA Tournament and earned the #1 seed. Arizona Going to overtime in the second round.with guard Mike Miles Coming back, this looks like a legitimate Suite 16 contender. — Austin Meek

Tulane

Well, not to offend some of my fellow voters, but let’s go a little bolder than picking the teams that made the Elite Eights last year or the teams that are already ranked? green wave Bring back almost everyone from a promising young squad last season, including the Star Guards Jalen Cook, certainly true to his surname. No one is saying Tulane will go to the Final Four, but he could certainly return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1995. And from Coach Ron Hunter, we may have more fun in March. — Brian Bennett

USC

Trojans is in transition, but Andy Enfield has established himself as a premier program builder. He had a roster led by the Boogie Ellis veteran backcourt. Drew Peterson3 top 50 freshmen (including McDonald’s All-American forwards) Kijani Light), and he added intriguing international prospects at 7-0 freshman center Iaroslav Niagu. Pac 12 is again strong at the top, but not as deep, so the Trojans are in the top tier and likely around the top 25 for most of the season. — Seth Davis

Virginia

I’m not saying the Cavaliers are good in the Final Four, but they’re good as part of the ACC. I’m here. The “bad” Virginia team finished 21-14, 10-8 in the ACC, and he won two in the NIT. — Dana O’Neal
