Draymond Green rationalizes Jordan Poole punch in surreal self-produced documentary on TNT

draymond green Spend about five minutes of the 21-minute self-made documentary “The Countdown”, jordan pool The punch that took him to new heights for NBA villains. The most true statement of the period:

“We can’t change what happened, but we can control what happens in the future. That’s where we are.”

If the documentary produced by Greene, Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions and Warner Bros. Discovery is any indication, Greene is very much concerned with controlling what happens next.

Green, which aired ahead of the NBA’s season opener on TNT, Warriors Like media days and complaints about the enjoyment of preseason games in Japan, training camps, This got him fined and out of the team for a few days, but no suspension.

Once the documentary finally reached that territory, it became very clear how Green watched the reaction to punching a teammate. , that’s true of any athlete who makes his own documentary, but using a clip of himself kissing his daughter, as he claimed he didn’t care about the punch reaction, was a little overkill:

Green’s take:

“You never know what people think right away, so give people time to vent their opinions. Frankly, I don’t care what people think. To be honest, I don’t care how much it I didn’t know it exploded, because I don’t spend a lot of time searching Instagram or going through comments.

“I haven’t read much tweets at all, so I was at home chilling out with my kids. To be honest, I still don’t know how much I think the world has exploded.”

Yes, Green doesn’t care how much it explodes. He watched the video 15 times and expressed anger that the video was leaked at all.And made a nationally televised documentary about it.

The documentary makers are certainly aware that the video was blown up, calling the narrator’s time away from Green’s team “exile, for lack of a better word,” and describing his solo workouts as high. The portrayal gave Green a full “lone hero” vibe. Drama.

Though never stated explicitly, the documentary’s overarching message is that something bad happened to Greene. He hit Poole, and then the spiteful old media and pundits started calling him a bad teammate, saying he deserved a suspension, and questioning his future with the Warriors.

But Green doesn’t mind it. A staunch leader, Green never allows the consequences of his actions to affect him. why he? His name is Draymond Green.

But the big hypocrisy on TNT might be that the documentary aired. apologized to Poole and his family Because of the “embarrassment” they had to deal with.pool he just said he wanted to move onAnd now, Green is speaking in his own media about the “turnaround” of the situation, airing about punching as many NBA viewers as possible on the day of the Warriors’ celebration.

Ultimately, the documentary culminates in a moving piece of music, and Green is looking forward to the season ahead and the chance to do it again. At first, though, the Warriors’ ring was his knight, and the narrator didn’t miss an opportunity to turn it into a way that showed Green overcoming adversity (something directly of his own making).

“For Draymond, perhaps this was an imminent [ring night] It probably has a special meaning as something that almost escaped. ”

Green isn’t the only self-produced documentary of his own, as every other famous athlete has their own production company and is constantly craving sports content in today’s streaming world. He joined Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, Derek Jeter, Magic Johnson and many others.

Green knows that all too well. Talking about athletes leading the wave of “new media” We are against old media hot takes and clickbait. Still, for all the thoughts you might have about Skip Bayless, at least he never aired a documentary about how hard it is to punch someone and not feel bad about yourself.

That’s where Green’s documentary hits a more insidious tone. Without even including Poole’s opinion on the event, Green presents his side of the story in full HD, ready to take control of the narrative that dared threaten him.
