Eason Shines Again as Rockets Ground Raptors 116-100

The Rockets beat Jabari Smith Jr., Alperen Sengan and Eric Gordon tonight. They had Tali Eason, Jalen Greene, Kevin Martin Jr. and Kevin Porter Jr. so it didn’t matter.

The Rockets may not be a great team, but they are a very deep team. The wave of athleticism and talent continues to roll in, defeating even major players like Smith, Sengun and Gordon.

Tali Eason, who didn’t really play for him, finished the night with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 2 steals. As luck would have it, he had about 30 points and 10 rebounds. He just has the nose for being in the right place at the right time with the ball. It’s like the rebound gene, a difficult one to teach. His shots are getting better, and if he has the time, that catapult is accurate.

To all the teams Eason gave a discount for changing schools. LSUs (As the team has committed its own recruits to the first role) I can only say: Thank you! Thank you Rockets for picking me 17th overall in the 2022 draft. He’s exactly the man the Rockets needed. That means any team can use his powerful 6’8″ wing with a wide range of skills and game knacks, but unfortunately, he’s a rocket.

In other news, Jalen Green scored a very quiet 23 points on a 7-16 shot in 26 minutes. Also, if the Rockets could hit a dunk shot, it might have been even better. If a player doesn’t seem to be doing much but still he’s well over 20 points, it usually means good.

Other positives were that KJ Martin Jr. made things happen and flew out of the gym, and Kevin Porter Jr. had a difficult start but had a strong finish. I’d love to see more of him with Eason, and possibly Tate, for the other team’s biggest pain.

Daishen Nix also made an appearance tonight. he’s just a tickBut as I wrote in the player preview, you can simply Can not Becoming a basket offensive guard who doesn’t make FTs. This all works better for Nix if he seems to have a plan when he’s the lead guard. He just dribbles and wanders But to be fair, Toronto presents a difficult problem for non-jumbo guards.

TyTy Washington, on the other hand, looked good. He seemed like a coil spring in that he shot almost every chance, but one of them was the pullback 3 he ejected, so that’s fine. It’s a PG and will go on attack or attack if it’s not moving.

Josh Christopher also made a great contribution. Surprisingly, Theo Maledon, who was almost kicked out of OKC by SG-A and Josh Giddey, also contributed.

Garrison Matthews had a rough night. His defense was bad and he missed his 3. If he doesn’t have either of those, could he be traded to the Adelaide 36ers for Robert Franks since he’s contributed basically nothing?

This was a great game to watch if the umpires let basketball go over 30 seconds. Most didn’t.

Regardless, the Rockets are a very deep team with a lot of talent. Raw talent is still talent. Wenby He Unfortunately for the Wishers, the Rockets may win more games than you think.

What about the Raptors? They’re an awkward team to play and an awkward team to watch.I’m not sure one team has ever seen more uncalled travel in one game. Also, almost everyone complained more or less all the time. at a preseason game. Despite shooting 38 free throws. Did they think he deserved 80 free throws?did it stop complaining?

I think a lot of NBA commentaries love the Raptors. Because Toronto is a great city (it is) and they are unlike most NBA teams. Kudos to you. Almost everyone on the Raptors says he’s 6’8 and skinny and does everything pretty well. It’s also not clear if they’re good at anything.

If some draft simply selected “the ugliest shot from a tall man”, the Raptors. appreciate. I also appreciate the passion of their fans. But how many of these NBA writers and podcasters actually watch Raptors games?

The Rockets will play the Heat on Monday and conclude the preseason with the final game on Friday. This is strange.
