Eason Shines Again as Rockets Ground Raptors 116-100

The Rockets beat Jabari Smith Jr., Alperen Sengan and Eric Gordon tonight. They had Tali Eason, Jalen Greene, Kevin Martin Jr. and Kevin Porter Jr. so it didn’t matter.

The Rockets may not be a great team, but they are a very deep team. The wave of athleticism and talent continues to roll in, defeating even major players like Smith, Sengun and Gordon.

Tali Eason, who didn’t really play for him, finished the night with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 2 steals. As luck would have it, he had about 30 points and 10 rebounds. He just has the nose for being in the right place at the right time with the ball. It’s like the rebound gene, a difficult one to teach. His shots are getting better, and if he has the time, that catapult is accurate.

In other news, Jalen Green scored a very quiet 23 points on a 7-16 shot in 26 minutes. Also, if the Rockets could hit a dunk shot, it might have been even better. If a player doesn’t seem to be doing much but still he’s well over 20 points, it usually means good.

Other positives were that KJ Martin Jr. made things happen and flew out of the gym, and Kevin Porter Jr. had a difficult start but had a strong finish. I’d love to see more of him with Eason, and possibly Tate, for the other team’s biggest pain.
