Kentucky fans may be able to fulfill the wishes they have been seeking for the last few years. It’s been over 20 years since Wildcats had the opportunity to meet Gonzaga Bulldogs 12 seasons after Kentucky played for Maui Classic. The last time they played was on November 27, 2002, when Tabby Smith was in Kentucky. Wildcats win 80-72and since then I haven’t been able to schedule a regular season game or meet the Bulldogs in the NCAA Tournament.
A really interesting scheduling opportunity, if not for the obstacles…

However, the meeting may be imminent after Kentucky head coach John Calipari tweeted Thursday evening. Calipari tweeted, “Without obstacles, a really interesting schedule opportunity …” with a sign pointing to Gonzaga. Calipari is very likely to be talking about another school, but it’s not so much fun to think of anyone other than Gonzaga.
North Carolina is interested in future homes and homes, but couldn’t fit it into the schedule this year.
Gonzaga on the other hand… https://t.co/yRnLbkk8tY

Currently, there is no indication when and where the two teams (if Gonzaga is actually a mystery team and the two programs can formally schedule dates) will meet. Each school does not have much incentive to travel to other schools. But as North Carolina is interested in future establishments, it may be the beginning of a home. It could also be a one-time match for this season only. only time will tell.
As of late June, Bulldog was ranked #2. ESPN’s Kentucky ranked 4th in the “WayTooEarly” ranking set to come on monday.. His addition is probably the last move of the next season and will definitely boost his ability to win the Kentucky roster and championships.
a long day. The forecast says it will rain more, but the river should reach the summit.
