FSU Soccer advances to program’s 13th College Cup with 1-0 win over Arkansas

Tallahassee — Florida Soccer (18-2-3) advances to the College Cup with a 1-0 win Arkansas (13-5-5) Saturday night. The Seminoles’ game-winning goal was a Razorbacks own goal in the 53rd minute. FSU is 11-4-2 in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals.

With this victory, FSU has qualified for their 13th College Cup (third year in a row) and continues their efforts for the program’s fourth national title. Florida State now has her second-most College Cup appearances in NCAA history, behind only North Carolina State (30).this will be the head coach Brian PenskeFirst appearance in the College Cup.

The Seminole Soccer Complex was packed with 2,667 fans, breaking FSU’s postseason record. The Spirit Way Garage and Stadium Drive were also packed with fans. FSU is currently 55-2-1 at home in the NCAA Tournament. Florida State is also 3-0 against the Razorbacks.
