Hawkeye women rout UNK in exhibition opener

If you have any doubts Iowa If you’re starting women’s basketball for the season, this game probably didn’t mean much to you. Unleashed a bang of the times.

So who exactly is Nebraska Kearney? Good to hear, dear viewers! (Opens Google in a separate tab) The University of Nebraska-Kearny (UNK) is a campus of the Nebraska Public University System located in Kearny, Nebraska.

They are members of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) Congress of NCAA Division II. Judging by their school motto, “Be Blue. Be Gold.” be bold’ I think their school colors are blue and gold.

So what exactly is a roper? Northwestern has never been more intrigued by a school name since he mentioned Saluki, Southern Illinois, which won 31-24. It stands for Antelope and seems to be based on a North American antelope that literally doesn’t exist! Their mascot is actually a pronghorn! I think people in Central America mistakenly call the pronghorn the American antelope.

Their notable alumni include former Yankees pitcher Joba Chamberlain and former UFC Welterweight Champion Kamal Usman! Fox News contributor and former NWA World Television Champion (and WWE Slammy Award winner for Best Dancer) Winner) Tyrus also played soccer there. Get this, before transferring to Nebraska Kearny, Tyrus attended a school in California called Antelope Valley College, so you can see why he played for the Ropers.

Anyway, I may have had more attention on the Ropers than Iowa on Friday night. The exhibition looked like the nation’s No. 6 team faced a Division II school.

Star guard Kaitlyn Clarke had 18 points and eight assists in just 17 minutes. Monica Chinano also scored 16 points and didn’t miss a single of her seven shots. I think the big story will be freshman Hannah Sturke, who scored 18 points in her Hawkeye debut. She is one of the people I want to pay attention to in the future.

I’m not going to make any profound statements or strong lessons about this game. It’s ridiculous for an exhibition with a 79 point difference. It’s good to see the Hawkeyes in action again in a big season. Led by Kaitlyn Clarke, the Hawkeyes have a strong team that could seriously run for a national championship.
