After calling Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, Benedict Maturin put together a solid performance of the Indiana Pacers in the Las Vegas Summer League action against Charlotte Hornets on Friday.

Maturin finished in 20 minutes with 23 points, four rebounds and one steal. He made 96-84 wins for the Pacers, making 9-of-16 shots from the field and 3-of-6 shots from the deep.

Before the 2022 NBA Draft, Maturin Washington post James says, “I have to show me that he is better than me.”

He recently clarified these comments and confirmed that people know they aren’t trying to look down on the four-time NBA champion.

“It’s about my confidence,” Maturin said. Gabby Hajduk of Indianapolis star.. “I think he’s the best player I’ve ever played in the game …. But I’m just in the league so no one can say I’m better than me. That’s what I’m confident about. I know who LeBron James is. [other] LeBron James. Never again. “

Based on Friday’s Maturin performance, he certainly seems to be trying to put together a solid rookie season in the NBA. But when the regular season of 2022-23 begins, he has to prove himself again.
