big 12

The Big 12 is college football’s most open conference so far, thanks to Kansas State upset Oklahoma in Week 4.

The Big 12 has five teams that win the conference at odds of +600 or better, and none at odds of +320 or better. Oklahoma entered the season with +200 to win the Big 12 Now at +400 after losing to the Wildcats.

Baylor will take over the mantle as conference favorite at +320 and have a big game against Oklahoma State on Saturday in a rematch of the 2021 Big 12 title game. The Cowboys also won the conference with +400 and are the only team in the top 5 currently undefeated.

Kansas State is the second favorite to win the conference at +375. The Wildcats lost to Tulane in Week 3 prior to their loss in Oklahoma. Texas is still hanging out at +600 despite his 2-2 start. The Longhorns lost in overtime to Texas Tech in Week 4.

Kansas, on the other hand, still hasn’t earned the respect of the oddsmakers. The 4-0 Jayhawks lost to Iowa State on Saturday, with both teams winning the conference by +4000. Only West Virginia has lower odds.

  • Kansas (+375)

  • Oklahoma (+400)

  • Oklahoma (+400)

Pac-12

The Pac-12 also have a fair amount of parity at the top of the conference, with odds of +550 or better for four teams that put them in the title game.

Utah are the favorites at +160 after losing to Florida in Week 1. The Utes looked like the dominant team expected in 2022 after the Florida game. USC wins conference by +180 After opening as a little favourite. The Trojans were unable to maintain a +14 turnover margin in four games, and survived the threat at Oregon State in Week 4.

Oregon is +400 after a comeback win in Washington State in Week 4. The Ducks have had wins over Washington State and his BYU Cougars in the past two weeks.

Washington is +550 to take the Pac-12 after a hot start. Washington started the season at +1600 after his 4-8 disaster in the 2021 season.

Don’t forget that the Pac-12, like the Big 12, determines the entrants of the title game. There will be no divisions and the top two teams in the conference will meet in the conference title game.

SEC

There are still teams with a better-than-even chance of winning in the SEC. And not Alabama.

Crimson Tide wins conference preseason at -140 Passed to Georgia as a conference favorite. Georgia, who was +150 before the season, won the conference at -110 after jumping over Alabama for a dominant start to the season and No. 1 in his AP Top 25.

Alabama is now +105. A great return if the No. 2 Crimson Tide is still confident it can win the conference again. Remember, Alabama won her SEC in 2021 before Georgia won the national title.

There is no other person at the conference who can rightfully claim to be a competitor. Tennessee is +2200 and he is third, Texas A&M is +2500.
