Huskers Announce Non-Conference Schedule – University of Nebraska

The Lincoln-Power Conference’s three road trips to the enemy and a trip to Orlando highlight Nebraska’s 2022-23 unconference schedule, released Monday afternoon.

Huskers, under the guidance of a fourth-year head coach Fred Hoiberg, Tested and can face up to 7 power conferencing teams in non-conference play. Under Hoiberg, NU’s schedule is ranked in the top 35 in each of the last two seasons, including the sixth in 2020-21.

The Huskers will play three of the first four regular season games at the Pinnacle Bank Arena, including a match between Maine (November 7th) and Omaha (November 10th). Chris Crutchfield made his Maine coach debut in the opening round of the Huskers season and played both basketball and football in Omaha, and Chris Crutchfield is his first season to lead the Maverick program.

NU will travel to Queens, NY to play against St. Johns in the Gavittipov game on November 17th. Red Storm has returned four starters, including Posh Alexander, an all-big east guard, and welcomes two transfers at David Jones (DePaul) and Andre Curbelo (Illinois). The Huskers will return home for a match against Arkansas Pine Bluff on Sunday, November 20th.

Starting with ESPN Invitational (November 24th, 25th and 27th), Nebraska will play four of the following five games away from home. The eight-team field brackets will be announced shortly, but the eight-team fields will include Florida, Memphis, Oklahoma, Olemis, Seton Hall, Siena, Stanford and Huskers.

Following a trip to Orlando, the Huskers hosted Boston University on the ACC / Big Ten Challenge (November 30th) and traveled to Omaha on December 4th with the Clayton team, who returned most of the roster from last season. We will play every year.

The last two non-conference tilts of NU will take place before Christmas. The Huskers will move to Kansas City for a neutral site match against Kansas State at the T-Mobile Center (December 17th) and return to the Pinnacle Bank Arena to play Queens. Season tickets for 2022-23 start at just $ 120 and include 14 regular season games, including 10 Big Ten Matchups. The Huskers match against Queen’s University is not included in the season ticket package, and details of the event will be announced shortly. Season ticket holders for the 2022-23 season will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for battles at Vault events and will receive more information via email.
