BLOOMINGTON, IN — Indiana Women’s Basketball will take on Bowling Green on Thursday night at 7 p.m. at Simon Scujot Assembly Hall after a great road trip to Knoxville on Monday.
No. 12 Indiana beat No. 11 Tennessee and the team is projected to make the Final Four 79-67, with five Hoosiers scoring in double digits.
Now that the hype has died down, it’s time to get back to working in the hall to maintain a flawless record.The 3-0 Hoosiers welcomed the Falcons, who also gave St. Bonaventure and Wright State two-time wins. has won big.
Bowling Green is projected to finish third in the MAC this season, as there are two preseason All-MAC Second Team selections in junior guard Lexi Fleming and senior forward Kady Hempfling.
However, senior guard Elissa Brett leads the team with 18 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, while junior guard Naira Hampton has 15.5 points and senior forward Alison Day has 13.5 points per game.
Indiana leads an all-time series 5-2, but hasn’t faced the Falcons since the Hoosiers’ narrow 75-67 win in Bowling Green, Ohio, in 2009.
The Falcons also say hello to a familiar face in Indiana’s Director of Operations Liz Honegger, a former player from 2003-2007 and two-time All-MAC at Bowling Green. He earned career points and is ranked 7th on the all-time top scorers list.

In the Hoosiers’ short season, senior forward Mackenzie Holmes leads the team with 16.3 points per game, followed by senior guard Sarah Scalia, who averages 14.
Senior veteran guard Grace Berger leads the team with 22 total rebounds and is scoring 11 points per game off smooth midrange jump shots.
Following the Hoosiers’ run against Bowling Green, they face Quinnipiac on Sunday before heading to Las Vegas for invitational games against Auburn and Memphis.
