In his first year as a Trail Blazer, Jerami Grant is having the most efficient season of his career. His two-year shot progress on his charts shows that his long-range shooting has improved significantly in all five of his 3PT zones.

Grant’s production has been consistent internally, with field goal percentages in the high fifties. However, his efficiency in the midrange jumped from his 30% to his 42.4%.
What most Blazers supporters rejoice about is his accuracy from the deep. Last season, he achieved his 35.8% shooting percentage from his three-point range. This season, that clip has peaked at 44.6% (he’s 43.9% in the picture above), making him his eighth best-performing in the NBA.
Watching Grant shoot from a distance is rewarding for Blazers fans. He, like Klay Thompson, has developed the ability to connect on a 3-pointer without setting the ball. His exceptional ability to release quickly after catching has plagued defenders and opened up his lane driving for the 2020 Olympic gold medalist.
Grant was also dead eye from the corner. He ranks sixth in his NBA for his number of corner 3-pointer attempts per game (2.3) and league leader among his five other players who share his company. In he ranks third with an efficiency of 42.3%.
The combination of having a respected basket-attacking weapon rather than gunshy allowed Grant to fill his role. He didn’t hamper the offense and, calculated by volume, scored a career-high 22.4 points per game for him on just his 15.3 shots attempted per contest. In contrast, he was averaging 22.3 points per game in his two preseasons with the Pistons, while his 17.3 tries per game.
This is the first time Grant has shot above 40% from long range, and there appear to be no signs of him slowing down. He tries to maintain a healthy play against his opponent. Pacers The 26th-placed team in the league overall conceded 36.6% of goals per game.
