In his documentary “Minority of One,” Kareem Abdul Jabber discussed how Wilt Chamberlain had an impact on his life. Kareem says he first met Wilt at the famous Lacquer Park in Harlem. This wasn’t a regular meeting because Kareem says Wilt is his “hero”, and after linking, Wilt decides to show Kareem around the city. Kareem says Wilt has since “taken him under his wings.” Kareem enjoyed meeting his idol, but he jokingly revealed that Wilt had “troubled” him. He shared one of these strange encounters below.
“I took the elevator with Wilt. When the elevator was down, someone got on and said,” Wow, how’s the weather? ” He said so to Wilt. The wilt spit on the man and said, “It’s raining.” I said, “What the hell is this?”
