When Yale Bulldog Recent Additions In addition to Kentucky Basketball’s challenger list, it’s a great time to revisit what we know about the upcoming schedule for 2022-23. Kentucky’s official schedule will be announced soon, probably early next month. Until then, here’s what it looks like today.

Kentucky-Yale, the latest game to be announced, has no date yet. Whenever that happens, it will be his first game since 1961 against Yale University in Kentucky.
Yale became a tournament team last March after winning an Ivy League conference tournament.
vs Duquesne | TBA

According to respected schedule-breaker John RothsteinDuquesne is one of the opponents heading to the Rupp Arena in 2022-23. However, the timing is unknown.
The Dukes went 6-24 last year, finishing last in the conference with one win in the A-10.
v Michigan | Tuesday, November 15
Indianapolis | Champions Classic
Tom Izzo’s Spartans are opponents for this year’s Champions Classic in the Indianapolis rotation of the event’s host site. However, this year’s Classic is one week behind his traditional start date, which is the first day of the college basketball season.
Michigan State is a top 25 preseason team with some unexpected summer departures. Still, the Spartans are a bunch of veterans.

A few days after the team returned from Indianapolis, the Cats will host the North Florida Ospreys for the second straight season that Friday night. Last season, Kentucky won the first ever matchup between the two schools the day before Thanksgiving, 86-52.
In Gonzaga | Sunday, November 20
Spokane
Kentucky will be in perhaps the biggest game of the entire college basketball season when John Calipari flies his team across the country to play in Gonzaga. Nearby Spokane his arena will host his match-ups, a marquee of top five teams, rather than his 6,000-seat “New Quenel” where Zags usually plays his games home.
It’s Sunday after Kentucky Football hosts Georgia in Lexington. Oscar Tshiebwe vs. Drew Timme should be fun.
vs Bellarmin | Tuesday 29 November

Finally, Kentucky will host Bellamine for the first time in school history when Scotty Davenport brings the Knights to Rupp Arena on Tuesday, November 29.
Last season, Bellarmine was dropped from the NCAA tournament despite winning the ASUN conference tournament and its automatic NCAA tournament bid. NCAA eligibility rules are ridiculous.

London
Two years after their first date, Kentucky travels to London for the first game of the three-year series against Michigan.

vs UCLA | Saturday, December 17
New York
The CBS Sports Classic heads to New York this December for its annual doubleheader with regular attendees from Kentucky, UCLA, Ohio State and North Carolina. The Cats tied the Bruins in Game 2, his first matchup since the 2017 CBS Sports Classic.
UCLA has won 3 of 4 in the hardline rivalry since 2015.

Before ringing in the new year on New Year’s Eve, Kentucky will host Louisville for the first meeting of the new John Calipari and Kenny Payne rivalry. I know it’s been too long since I gave a basketball loss. The two teams did not play last year, and Louisville won his 2019-20 game against the worst Kentucky his team ever.

It’s Kentucky’s turn for the home game of the SEC/Big 12 Challenge, and this year’s opponent is NCAA champion Kansas. Last season, Kentucky went to Lawrence to beat the Jayhawks’ perpetual crap on Fog.

UK Athletics are expected to release the full schedule in early September, assuming the same timeline as in previous years.
It may not be good enough for Ryan Lemond, but he will be one of the toughest players in college basketball.
