Kevin Durant trade rumors: Pessimism deal gets done anytime soon, teams won’t help facilitate move, per report

It’s been over a month since I entered Kevin Durant’s trade sweepstakes and so far we haven’t even come close to an agreement. Negotiations are certainly underway, but it doesn’t look like a deal will be struck anytime soon. According to Ian Begleythere is “a lot of pessimism” over the near-term completion of a deal with Durant.

In a bit of good news for the Nets, Begley reports that Kyrie Irving is “in a good place” with the Nets after contentious contract negotiations early in the offseason. Irving los angeles lakers, and with one year left on his maximum contract, Irving could decide to sign there next season. Things could easily change if Durant is traded.

But the longer this drags on, the more likely it is that Durant and Irving will start training camp at least with the Nets. Something might come true before the deadline. At this time, however, the team has not provided an offer that the Nets deem worthy.
