LeBron James is a billionaire who has built his fortune through hard work and smart investments. But if you ask him about money, he turns his back on you.
The Lakers star became the first active NBA player to reach $1 billion in net worth earlier this year, joining a short list of athletes who have made that amount.
LeBron, Michael Jordan, and Tiger Woods are the only athletes to reach the $1 billion mark, and this number is a testament to their hard work both inside and outside of their playing careers.
After all, these people are some of the richest people in the world, but they make most of their money from outside their respective leagues.
LeBron has a shoe deal with Nike, appears in movies, invests in various businesses, and does a lot to keep his income going. So did Jordan, so did Tiger Woods. LeBron also uses his money for charity. The biggest is his I Promise school, which provides a free education to underprivileged children in Ohio.

LeBron James doesn’t like showing off his money
LeBron has a tough background. His mother was only 16 when he was born, and his father, Anthony McClelland, had been absent for most of his life.
Gloria James had a casual relationship with McClelland when LeBron was born and he played no supportive role in raising the child. , was forced to live with her two brothers.
After Gloria’s mother and grandmother died, she was left alone to care for LeBron and her siblings. That’s what led me to where I am today.
That’s also why LeBron isn’t keen on revealing how much money he has. .
