LeBron James won his first title after a dominant performance against the Thunder on this date in 2012

LeBron James won the triple-double and his first NBA title. He led the Miami Heat to a 121-106 home victory over Oklahoma City Thunder.

Miami’s “Big 3” took full advantage of Oklahoma City’s “Big 3”. After Thunder won Game 1, Heat won four consecutive games.

James 26 points, 13 assists, 11 rebounds. Chris Bosh scored 24 points and Dwyane Wade scored 20 points. Miami was also backed by Mike Miller, who scored 23 points from the bench.

Kevin Durant played a big game for Thunder and finished with 32 points and 11 rebounds. Russell Westbrook and James Harden both scored 19 points.

The heat was much more efficient than Thunder. Miami fired 40-77 and Oklahoma City fired 36-87.

The heat led 95-71 after three-quarters and coasted towards victory.

Despite the success of Oklahoma City, they decided to replace Harden with the Houston Rockets after the season. They haven’t returned to the NBA Finals since 2012, and the “Big 3” members aren’t on the team yet.

In Miami, James was named the Finals MVP. He led them to another championship next season and was named the Finals MVP twice in a row.
