Louisville Women’s Basketball’s 2022-23 Non-Conference Schedule Announced

LOUIVILLE, Kentucky — After completing the program’s fourth trip to the Final Four last season, the Louisville women’s basketball team announced its non-conference schedule for the 2022-23 season Friday morning. To prepare, they’ll take on some of the toughest teams in the country during a non-conference schedule of 13 games.

The Cardinals will start the season at home on Monday, November 7, against Cincinnati at KFC Yum! center. The two-game homestand ends at IUPUI on Thursday, November 10th. The Jaguars won the Horizon League regular season and tournament championships in 2021-22 and qualified as the 13th seed to the NCAA Tournament.

Louisville will face Belmont for the first time on Sunday, November 13th. The Bruins were OVC Tournament champions last season and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament after defeating No. 5 seed Oregon in the first round.

Card heads to the Bahamas after the game with Belmont. Louisville will play his three games Nov. 19-21 at the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament, which includes Tennessee, UCLA, Rutgers, Gonzaga, South Dakota, Texas and Marquette. Three teams advanced past his second round in the NCAA Tournament last season, and a total of five teams achieved his 20-plus win. The Cardinals defeated Gonzaga (second round) and Tennessee (Sweet Sixteen) in his NCAA Tournament last season, and South Dakota was his WNIT champion.

Three of the Cardinals’ next four games will be at home as they return to KFC Yum! He will play Longwood at center on Friday, November 25th. The Racers were an NCAA Tournament team last season, and in the First Four Mount Saint He defeated Maryse.

Next up is the Big 10/ACC Challenge, where the Cardinals will play at home to Ohio State on Wednesday, November 30th.

A short weekend trip to Murfreesboro, Tennessee will be on deck when the Cardinals take on Middle Tennessee on Sunday, Dec. 4.

The final home game of the non-conference slate will pit the Cardinals against SIU-Edwardsville on Tuesday, Dec. 6.

A three-game road swing ends the non-conference portion of the schedule, and Battle for the Bluegrass kicks off first as the cards face Kentucky on Sunday, Dec. 11 in Lexington.

The Cardinals are back in Louisville, but have a road contest against Bellermine on Wednesday, December 14th at Freedom Hall. His final non-conference game will be in Chicago on Wednesday, Dec. 21, as Louisville faces DePaul.

The ACC portion of the Cardinals’ schedule will be released later this month.
