Men’s Hoops Announce Non-Conference Schedule

Norman – University of Oklahoma Men’s Basketball Head Coach Porter Moser On Wednesday, we announced the Sooners’ non-conference schedule for 2022-23.

OU will play 7 non-conference games at the Lloyd Noble Center for a total of 13 games against out-of-conference opponents.

“Again, our non-conference schedule is one of the best in the country,” says Moser. “We’ve played 18 games in the Big 12, taking Arkansas, Florida, Alabama and Villanova out of the league to make our schedule elite.”

OU kicks off Tuesday, October 25, in an exhibition match against Oklahoma City University at the Lloyd Noble Center.

The Sooners have four consecutive home contests to start the regular season.

OU will wrap up the 2022 season against Sam Houston State on Monday, November 7, and the Arkansas Pine Bluffs on Friday, November 11.

In 2003, Oklahoma won 94-24 against the Arkansas Pine Bluffs, the fourth-largest winning margin in program history.

OU will host UNC Wilmington on Tuesday, November 15th and South Alabama on Friday, November 18th.

Oklahoma will make its first outing of the year for the ESPN Event Invitational on November 24, 25 and 27 near Orlando, Fla., where the former Big 12 will compete in the opening round on Thursday, November 24. You will face your nemesis, Nebraska. The series went against Nebraska 104-83, and the last time the two teams met was in 2011.

The Sooners and Huskers will be joined by Florida State, Memphis, Ole Miss, Seton Hall, Siena and Stanford to face either Memphis or Seton Hall in Round 2.

OU is on the road to the Big 12-BIG EAST Battle against Villanova on Saturday, December 3rd at the Wells Fargo Center. .

The Sooners will return to LNC to host Kansas City on Tuesday, December 6th.

The Crimson and Cardinal Classics are back for the second straight season, marking the battle between Oklahoma and Arkansas on Saturday, December 10 at the BOK Center in Tulsa. The Sooners won their first meeting and last season he beat the Razorbacks 88-66.

The Sooners are consistently 3-0 in the arena, winning eight of their last 12 games against the Razorbacks.

OU will host Central Arkansas on Saturday, December 17, before traveling to Charlotte, North Carolina to take on the Florida Gators at the inaugural Jumpman Invitational at Spectrum Center on Tuesday, December 20.

The Sooners will play their final non-conference game against Alabama on Saturday, Jan. 28 in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge.

Oklahoma beats Alabama, Mississippi, Vanderbilt, LSU, Missouri and Texas A&M in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge 6-3. OU had a 66-61 win against the Crimson Tide during the 2020-21 season.
