The last 48 hours since Alabama was removed from the NCAA tournament have been a whirlwind.
Monday evening, Abby Doerr and Jenna Lord have entered the forwarding portal.. And on Tuesday afternoon Montana Fautz has confirmed that he will be back to take advantage of his fifth year qualification with special support from Alabama head coach Patrick Murphy... Catcher Allie Shipman also confirmed that she would return to her fifth year. (Alabama won Shipman and Third Baseman Ashley Plunge from the Transfer Portal before the 2021 season.)
Shortly after Fouts posted on social media, Extra Inning Softball reported that Lexi Kilfoyl, Dallis Goodnight, and Savannah Woodard also entered the forwarding portal. Good night has already removed Alabama softball from her bio on Instagram. It was also confirmed that second baseman Megan Bloodworth entered the portal late Tuesday night.
Killfoil, one of the most talented pitchers in the country, has fought injuries throughout his career at Crimson Tide. She threw a perfect game with Georgia on April 4th and threw eight innings of jewels in her victory over Florida on April 10th. This will be the last time she has pitched in 2022.

For the rest of the season, her status was daily with leg and hip injuries. Killfoil finished the season with a record of 9-3 in 18 games at 2.36 ERA. The pitcher also took several RBIs early in the season, injuring his foot and hitting .308 with a home run and three RBIs. She has two years of qualifications.
As a true freshman in 2022, Goodnight started 49 out of 57 games in 55 games, all playing in the center field. She was third in the team with an average batting average of .302. She led the team with good night stealing 18 bases.
Freshman outfielders spent most of the season in lead-off roles, but struggled with the plates over the years. Before the SEC started playing, Goodnight was hitting .481. But in her conference play, she got only 11 hits and a batting average of .172.
Woodard also had to deal with an injury that set her aside as part of the 2022 season. She missed her time during a non-conference schedule that sprained her ankle and was unable to fully resume her things after she returned.
During the season, Woodard recorded .164 on five RBIs. But in 2021 she was the third on the RBI team. Junior spent time in the infield and outfield during his Crimson Tide career. She has two years of qualifications.
