MVC Announces Basketball Package on CBS Sports

For the eighth year in a row, CBS Sports Network will air the Missouri Valley Conference men’s basketball game package. This includes the semifinals of the State Farm MVC Tournament and his eight regular season contests, MVC Commissioner Jeff Jackson announced today.

The CBS television network, which has aired every title game of the MVC tournament since 2006, will air the 2023 championship tilt on March 5, and will also be available to stream live on Paramount+.

In 2018, CBS Sports and MVC agreed to a multi-year extension from 2023 to 2024 to air MVC’s men’s basketball games on the CBS Television Network and CBS Sports Network.

The CBS Sports Network’s 2022-23 regular season game package begins with Bradley’s participation in the Cancun Challenge (November 22-23).

Bradley meets Auburn (November 22nd) and tangles with either Liberty or Northwestern the next day.

The league’s telecast schedule kicks off early in the year as Drake hosts Valparaiso at the Knapp Center in Des Moines, Iowa (December 29).

Coverage for the 2023 portion of the schedule will begin on January 7th. This is because the conference will utilize a wildcard selection process for his first of four innings to determine his telecast on CBS Sports Network.

As part of the wildcard selection process, CBS Sports Network will announce the telecast selection 14 days after the event. The remaining wildcard selection dates are February 4th, February 19th and February 26th.

Pre-determined January telecasts will include 2022 NIT entrant Belmont as host of 2022 NCAA Tournament entrant Murray State on Tuesday, January 17 at the Curb Event Center in Nashville, Tenn. Including Drake entertaining Indiana on Tuesday.

The final pre-determined telecast will take place on Tuesday, February 21, when 2022 NIT participants Missouri State University will play Murray State University at the Great Southern Bank Arena in Springfield, Missouri.

CBS Sports’ coverage of the 2023 State Farm MVC Men’s Basketball Tournament (known as “Arch Madness”) includes the semifinals on March 4 on CBS Sports Network. The championship contest on March 5 will air on the CBS television network at 1:00 PM Central and will be available live on Paramount+.

The 33rd consecutive MVC event in St. Louis, the 2023 tournament will be the 18th consecutive year that CBS Sports has televised the title game. The semifinals will air on CBS Sports Network for the eighth straight year.

In fact, the Missouri Valley Conference is one of four leagues—the Atlantic 10, Big Ten, and Mountain West—that broadcast the men’s basketball tournament finals on CBS Sports.

In 2020, Missouri Valley joins the Big East (New York City) as the only Division I track and field event to host a men’s basketball tournament in the same city for over 30 consecutive years.
