Nate Thurmond recorded the NBA’s first quadruple double on this date in 1974

Nate Thurmond made history in his first match against the Chicago Bulls. He recorded the first Quadruple-double in NBA history, beating the Bulls over the Atlanta Hawks 120-115.

Thurmond finished the game with 22 points, 14 rebounds, 13 assists and 12 blocks. He averaged 7.9 points 11.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.4 blocks per game for the season.

Thurmond has only played 93 games in the Bulls, but his epic games are always memorable. He was 33 when he recorded Quadruple-Double.

To date, only Thurmond, Alvin Robertson, Akeem Olajuwon, and David Robinson have recorded Quadruple-double in the NBA game.
