NBA 2K23 Summer League Standouts: Moses Moody ultra-efficient in Warriors’ victory

As NBA 2K23 Summer League Enter the all-day phase of play. Here are some of Friday’s Summer League masterpieces from Las Vegas:

Moses Moody, Warriors

Moses Moody injects super-efficient 34 points in just 13 shots and chips in on a 17-15 line.

After finishing the championship, the Warriors are about to make a shift. Next season, some of their rotations belong to their young core, and one of their next talents is Moody, a second-year guard who made his debut in Las Vegas.

Moody scored 34 points against Knicks and looked solid at both ends. This happens after a season of relatively limited action. Like Jonathan Kuminga, when the 2022 playoffs began, he was the victim of a number of crises as the Warriors leaned against Otto Porter Jr. and Gary Payton II during the championship.

Both veterans have departed Free agent, Golden State will leave minutes to fill next season with Kuminga, Moody, and James Wiseman, the second-placed 2020. Of course, unless the Warriors package some of them into a trade, for example, just in case the team should. NetFor example, we’re ready to take part in a blockbuster by next season.

Cameron Thomas, Nets

I’m worried within the organization this summer (as you may have heard), but at least Nets got a little guarantee from one of the returning rotation players.I wasn’t worried about the Thomas they earned Honor of Joint MVP During last year’s Las Vegas run.

Once again, Thomas seemed to be out of competition in terms of talent, scoring 31 points against Bucks. He struggled deep (1 pm to 6 pm), but Thomas scored 17 points in the fourth quarter. He needs to work on his range this summer. The guard shot at Nets last season was 27.0%.

When they dealt with Kevin Durant’s trade demands and Kyrie Irving’s uncertainties, Nets needed some good news, even if one of the superstars wasn’t involved.

Marko Simonović, Bulls

Marco Simonovich raises the clutch several times with OT Thriller vs. Dallas.

It’s hard to beat what the young center did against the Mavericks: Simonovich scored 27 points with 13 rebounds and 3 blocks, tied the game with a dunk at the end of the regulation, and won a free throw with an OT. I hit it.

Although he played only nine games in Chicago last season (14 games including five in the G League affiliate), he has been working on improving his body and low post games. So the question for Simonovich is whether there is room for his prototype in today’s games. He barely stretches his floor exactly in two or three games. It’s up to him to show that he belongs, and he will have to lead the minutes next season. It starts in Las Vegas.

Benedict Maturin, Pacers

Indiana’s draft top picks won’t be disappointed with their first appearance in the NBA 2K23 Summer League in Las Vegas.

After a slow start, the sixth pick looked pleasing to his skin, and the NBA Summer League uniform gave him a glimpse of what he could do at the next level.

Maturin scored 23 points in 20 minutes on an almost unmistakable (one turnover) display, demonstrating a maturity that would help him as a rookie. At 6’6, the Pacers don’t know if a guard or a small forward is best, but it’s a wait-and-see decision. This summer he flips through the spots and drops hints.

Jaden Hardy, Mavericks

Former G League Ignite prospect Jaden Hardy scored 28 points against the Bulls.

Draft Knight didn’t go as planned because Hardy, the guard of the G League Ignite, was expecting to go to the first round, but was disappointed that he fell to 37. He wasn’t the only one. Some scouts also put him in the top 30 picks. Mavericks was thinking of him enough to trade with Kings, and here he is.

Hardy, with a cheer from his hometown of Henderson, turned that anxiety into a positive result and finished 28 points against the Bulls. He showed good aggression and wanted to make a clear impression.

Josh Minott, Timberwolves

Almost all of Minnesota’s Summer League teams are in their favor just because the wolf surrendered multiple rotation players in a deal with Rudy Gobert. Therefore, someone will somehow reach the roster. In that sense, Minott jumped into the competition in a solid match against the Nuggets.

He scored 22 points in 10 rebounds, had a nice night in the glass for a small forward athletic and looked fluid. Minott was acquired from Hornets in a draft day trade. Chosen on the 45th pick after playing a college ball in Memphis, he hopes to make a lasting impression. Minott showed a great shoot touch and lots of energy on Friday, and it’s a bit surprising that he left the energy after working for 21 teams before the draft.

Scotty Pippen Jr., Lakers

The best undrafted son of all time managed to separate himself from the Summer League pack on his Las Vegas debut, scoring 19 points against Sands. Following the draft, Pippen signed a two-way contract with the Lakers. The Lakers are anxious to see if he fits into the plans for the next season.

Pippen is 6 feet 3 and not as tall as his father and does not have the same best motor genes, but he is smart and looking at the floor. By the way, when he fell to the floor on Friday and fell to his first line, everyone except LeBron James was there to help his feet. In this season’s best case scenario, Pippen will give back.
