NC State Wolfpack vs North Carolina Tar Heels college football

In one of the classic games of the classic football series for years, North Carolina State won 30-27 in double overtime at Kenan Stadium on Friday.

In the second overtime, the puck reached UNC 4 before Christopher Dunn kicked a 21-yard field goal to take a 30–27 lead. But UNC’s Noah Burnett missed from his 35 yards on the heels.

Barnett’s 26-yard field goal in the first overtime gave the Tar Heels a 27–24 lead, but Dunn answered from 31 yards in the tie.

Drake May’s 4-yard pass to Antoine Green on the final play of regulation forced an OT.

Timmons TD Catch: NC State 14, UNC 3

Ben Finley’s 28-yard TD pass to freshman wideout Terrell Timmons Jr. capped off a 7-play, 55-yard drive. Injury update: Pennix, Wilson play

Wolfpack tight end Trent Pennix, linebacker Peyton Wilson and receiver Devin Carter will miss the Louisville game and play in uniform. Quarterback MJ Morris didn’t wear a warm-up outfit, which forced center Grant to miss again, as did Gibson and Nickelback’s Tyler, as did Baker Williams.
