Nets owner Joe Tsai condemns Kyrie Irving’s tweeting of antisemitic video

Kyrie IrvingHis latest venture into conspiracy theories and controversy has drawn fire from brooklyn nets Team owner Joe Tsai and his own team have spoken out against its outright anti-Semitism.

Nets point guard Thursday tweeted the link Ronald Dalton Jr. Rolling Stone magazine explainsthe documentary advocates “thoughts along the lines of more extreme factions of black Hebrew Israelis with a long history of misogyny, homophobia, xenophobia, Islamophobia, and especially anti-Semitism.”

Utilizing fabricated quotes and debunked hoaxes, the documentary and book have reportedly gone to great lengths to claim that Jews rule the world and are responsible for centuries of black oppression. It deploys many anti-Semitic tropes.

The day after Irving tweeted the link, Tsai bluntly said the film was “full of anti-Semitic disinformation,” suggesting Irving promoted the hate.

Nets too Released its own statement to Nets Dailysaid they were ‘not tolerant’ of ‘hate speech’

“The Brooklyn Nets strongly condemn and do not tolerate the promotion of any form of hate speech.We believe that in situations like this, our first course of action must be an open and honest dialogue. [Anti Defamation League]People who have supported me during this time. ”

Irving has clearly never been afraid to speak his mind, but his public persona has steadily distorted in recent years, starting with his infamous fight over his vaccination refusal last season. Post a video promoting conspiracy theorist Alex Jonesrecent man Sandy Hook’s family found guilty of $1 billion in damages for promoting the lie that the massacre was a hoax.

The Nets have navigated Irving’s extracurricular activities for some time, but have never outright called Cai him out for spreading anti-Semitic disinformation. It remains to be seen what further actions will lead to either on the Nets side or on the Irving side.

Irving tweeted that he and Kevin Durant Attempted to leave the team during the offseason. Irving has appeared in all five of his games for the team (never sure) and is averaging 29.3 points per game.
