College Park, Maryland – No. 2 Maryland will face No. 8 Syracuse in the NCAA Quarterfinals to continue its ninth NCAA Tournament Championship challenge. Terps will face Orange in Round 2 on Sunday, November 13 at 1:00 PM. This is available for free with B1G+.

  • The 2022 Co-Big Ten champions, Maryland won their last NCAA title in 2011 and are chasing their ninth national championship in history.
  • The Terps have won eight NCAA championships, including five in seven seasons from 2005-2011.
  • The field hockey & lacrosse complex has played as home to 28 of Maryland’s NCAA Tournament games and played as host to three Final Fours (2007, 2010, 2014). The Terrapins went 25-3 in those games and at home field he won the 2010 national title.
  • The Terps are 16-2 in overtime or shootout games in the NCAA Tournament.

Missy’s 35th Anniversary

  • coach Missy Mehague In his 35th season at the Terps’ helm, he led the team to a 622-159-9 record with a winning percentage of over 79 percent.
  • A nine-time National Coach of the Year, she earned 19 Final Fours, 12 NCAA Title Game appearances and seven NCAA Championships during her tenure.
  • This past season, Meharg became the third Division I head coach to reach 600 wins. Her 622 wins are the most of any Maryland coach in the history of all sports.
  • Meharg has coached 56 All-American players, won 19 Conference Player of the Year awards, and has 6 former student-athletes named National Player of the Year.

  • Parking is free at Lot 11b from 10:00 am. Tailgating is allowed on this lot after 10:00 am.
  • Unseasonable weather is forecast for Friday’s game, but with an umbrella do not do Allowed within the complex under any conditions. Also note that in the event of lightning, all fans will be asked to leave the complex and return to their vehicles.
