These are the 10 best DI women’s college basketball teams heading into this week, ranked by Autumn Johnson.
(Last week’s ranking in brackets)
1. South Carolina (1): Nothing new here. Gamecocks are really good and it shows.
2. Stanford (2): The Cardinals continue to roll and are now on a nine-game winning streak.
3. Ohio (3): The undefeated Buckeyes are beating their team in remarkable ways. The team’s resume includes big wins against Louisville, Michigan, Oregon and Tennessee.
4. Notre Dame (5): Fighting Irish move up slot this week after starting 3-0 in conference play
5. Ucon (7): The Huskies went 4-0 behind a monster play from Aaliyah Edwards in the Big East. The UConn forward had a great 20-20 game against Clayton, but Dorka Juhas was shy to do the same against the Blue Jays. Additionally, the team seems to have put their injury woes behind them as Aji Fad was cleared to play basketball last week.

6.LSU (10): The Tigers move up four slots after winning their second SEC. LSU remains undefeated with his 24-point lead over Arkansas for the first ranked victory of the year.
7. Indiana (4): The Hoosiers dropped three spots after losing to Michigan State in their first loss of the season, but avenged the loss by defeating Nebraska in OT.
8. Utah (NR): The Utes are now 14-0, including a ranked win against Oklahoma earlier in the season, making them one of the nation’s best offensive players.

9. Virginia Tech (6): The Hokies slip to ninth after being upset by Clemson. Her 24-point, 6-assist performance from Georgia in her VT win over North Carolina kept her team in the Power 10 for the week.
10. NC State (8): The Wolfpack suffered their second loss of the season against ACC nemesis Duke.
