Navigating the OU lineup is like planning the 1927 New York Yankees for the opposite pitcher.

“It’s a murder strike” Texas Director Mike White refers to the famous lineup centered around Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. Snurs Blasted his team 7-2 with the winner’s bracket Women’s University World Series Saturday at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium.

The pitchers were successful against them, and Longhorns ace Haley Dolcini did it on Saturday, retiring nine consecutive batters.

However, it is difficult to maintain its success, and a record lineup of OUs starring Joslyn Alo and Tiare Jennings will surely be realized.

On Saturday, after the Snurs started with Alo’s one-time, two-run home run and fell asleep a bit uncomfortable, the Suners adapted to Dolcini and hit Texas to move forward in the championship series of games.

Carlsson: Jocelyn Alo has determined that Texas will not shut down the OU again. She did something about it at WCWS.

OU (56-2) will advance to the semi-finals at 11:00 am on Monday, taking over the winners of the UCLA match on Sunday and the losers of the second half of the Oklahoma State University and Florida match on Saturday.

Texas (44-20-1) will face Arizona at 6 pm on Sunday.

In both Snurs WCWS games, junior outfielder Riley Boone signaled a change in Snurs’ approach.

of 13-2 victory over northwest on ThursdayIt was Boone’s three doubles showing how the Suners adapted to the Wildcats pitcher Daniel Williams change-up.

This time, it took Boone up to five times to emphasize the shift again.

Owasso’s product jumped with excitement when he placed the bunt single on the first pitch of the inning and successfully crossed the base just before the throw.

OU’s ninth batter, Jana Johns, put a sacrifice bunt himself on the first pitch before Coleman hit a double into the field gap in the center right to win Boone and raise the Snurs to three. 1.1.

Alo was also aggressive in attacking Dolcini, fouling three consecutive pitches, then driving another run with the middle single and driving Dolcini out of the game.

Jennings then greeted Sophia Simpson with a two-run home run on the left fielder, extending the OU lead to 6-1.

Soon coach Patty Gasso wasn’t shy about moving her lineup.

OU hasn’t used the same batting average in more than two games this season.

The lineup that Gasso filled on Saturday was 51st in the Snurs in 58 games this season.

“It’s like changing lines,” White hinted at a previous murder strike comment.

However, the top three are fairly consistent for most of the second half of the season. Jida Coleman leads, followed by Alo and Jennings.

On Saturday, the trio scored 6 RBIs and 5 runs, winning 7-11. Another Suners run was scored by Hannah Cool as a substitute runner for Alo.

According to Coleman, the biggest adjustments were made internally, not Dolcini.

“I think it was more spiritual just to know individually how she came to us,” Coleman said. “And it worked.”

In the innings before the opening of the Suners, Texas kept the OU’s lead 2-1 and they eventually placed a base runner against Dolcini before failing to score.

“We were right for that,” Alo said. “So, fifth, we knew it was coming. It was a matter of us trusting ourselves and sticking to our plans.”

The fourth run, scored by Sooners in the fifth, was more than enough for OU starter Hope Trautwein. However, she controlled the game for the most part and improved to 20-1 with a complete game victory.
