Paige Bueckers suffers torn ACL, UConn star will miss the entire 2022-23 season

UConn star Paige Bookers suffered an ACL tear in his left knee on Monday and will miss the 2022-23 season. According to a team release, the junior guard picked up on an injury he sustained during a basketball game. She had an MRI Monday night, which confirmed her injuries.

Her sophomore season didn’t go smoothly. Bueckers injured her knee last December, requiring surgery for her anterior tibial plateau fracture and a torn lateral meniscus. That surgery took her on Dec. 13, and Bookers missed her 19-game streak until her return in late February. She helped her team to an impressive 93-38 victory over St. John’s on the first day of their return, but it took another few weeks before Buckers really looked like her old self. It took.
