Philadelphia 76ers vs. Sacramento Kings Live Score and Stats – January 21, 2023 Gametracker

Sacramento, Calif. (AP) Tyrese Maxey scored 15 of 32 points in the third quarter, Philadelphia 76ersplayed without Joel Embiid and James Harden, Sacramento Kings 129-127 on Saturday nights.

Maxxie also had 7 assists and 6 rebounds to help the 76ers overcome a 21-point deficit.

Embiid and Harden rested with leg injuries, but the rest of the 76ers stopped Sacramento’s six-game winning streak.

For the Sixers, Tobias Harris, Montrez Harrell and Georges Niang scored 17 points.

76ers coach Doc Rivers said, “It was a resilient win for our guys.” ”

Dearon Fox had 31 points and 9 assists for the Kings (26-19). Harrison Barnes scored 27 points and went 9-for-6 from a 3-point range. Kevin Harter added his 20.

“They have some good players,” said Hueter. “This is a team that, if healthy, can play against anyone in the East.”

The Kings built a 71-50 margin on Hurter’s 3-point basket with 3:10 left in the second quarter. The 76ers had him on a 14-3 run, but the Kings had a half and he held a 74-64 lead.

The 76ers surged to tie the game at 86 on a 3-point play by Harrell with 6:59 left in the third quarter. The Kings regained the lead when Barnes scored the next five points, but the 76ers started a 16-5 run to end the quarter with a 102-96 lead.

Maxxie scored 12 of the 76ers’ first 16 points in the third quarter.

“I was telling them[the 76ers]that I was going to be aggressive in the third,” Maxxie said. (Third), we dictated what we needed, and I think we did that for most of the third quarter.”

The 76ers opened a 107-96 lead early in the fourth and recovered until the Kings narrowed the lead to one point twice. .

After Maxxie made two free throws on the next play to extend the lead by three points, Mathis Thybulle fouled Barnes on a three-point attempt. Barnes missed the first shot, made the second, then deliberately missed the third, but the 76ers rebounded to end the game.

The 76ers swept the series 2-0, including a 123-103 win in Philadelphia on December 14. The last time the Kings beat his 76ers was his 115-108 on February 2, 2019 in Sacramento.

“Give them a lot of credit,” Kings coach Mike Brown said. “They came here and took this game away from us.”

Sidelines for EMBIID and HARDEN:

Embiid, the league’s second-leading scorer, was out recovering from a left leg injury, and Harden was sidelined to manage a tendon strain in his right leg.
