Phoenix Suns released a roster of 18 Summer League 2022 mini camps on Sunday night.
Ishmail Wayne Wright finds the team as the only player from last year’s active roster.
The 6-foot-5-wing played in 45 Phoenix games, averaging 2.4 points with a 39.4% shot in 8.0 minutes. He also played in seven playoff games.
Wainwright has not signed a contract for the 2022-23 season.
He is a former Grand Canyon University Big Man Asbjorn Mittguard, an outstanding Oregon Ducks player, a former Sacramento Kings forward Louis King, and the prestigious McKinley Wright of the three First Team All Pack 12. Play with IV (Colorado).
Wright IV played five games against the Minnesota Timberwolves last year.
The roster does not have Iffe Lundberg, who signed a two-way contract with Phoenix in March.
Sands also didn’t have a draft topic to add to the team this year.
Steve Skullji will be the summer head coach. He joined the Monty Williams staff last year after spending time as a player development coach at Oklahoma City Thunder.
This summer, all 30 NBA teams will play five games.
Phoenix’s first match in Las Vegas will be played against the Los Angeles Lakers at the Thomas & Mac Center on Friday at 7pm.
The Sands will also include Washington Wizards, Dallas Mavericks, and Sacramento Kings. Their fifth and final opponent is determined based on which team reaches the championship game.
