Making an NBA roster is a stretch for Ryan, who failed to even earn an invite to the G League bubble a year and a half ago after being undrafted in 2020. With Ryan still on a non-guaranteed deal, he’s not safe until a leaguewide reduction date in January and the Lakers can still ditch him and eat a cap hit. The Lakers are happy to pay an additional $60,000 in taxes each day to keep Ryan on their roster..
