Remembering Kobe Bryant’s interesting RAP career

Kobe Bryant was known for handing out buckets to his favorite NBA team every night. But what most people don’t know is that Kobe tried to enter the hip-hop scene in the late 1990s. Take a look at some of the bean tracks below.

1) “Hold Me”

The first appearance on a track in Kobe was the record “Hold Me” with Brian McKnight. Bean rapped the poem towards the end of the song and performed his rhyme. “Without the Lakers, Kobe might have started a rap career instead,” McKnight told ABC Audio. Check below:

2) 3x dope feat. SHAQ

After the legend has passed, the Lakers phenomenon Shaquille O’Neal reveals a hidden gem that the world has never seen.He surprised Instagram with a video rapped by him and his ex-teammate in a previously released “3xDope”. Respect 1998 album.

They understood their rule in court and confirmed that the world also knew through their rhymes.

“Even the 20/20 players aren’t looking at us.”

3) Kobe

Bryant’s next track began in 2000 and released a song with Tyra Banks. “KOBE” Banks remembers meeting Kobe Bryant at the Teen Choice Awards and planning to make a track with him. She says, “A few days later, I’m literally in the studio and he’s singing the song.” They finally made it debut and ran it during the 2000 All-Star game. Interestingly, Bryant decided to rap his last poem in Italian.

Brian was a natural performer and featured some basketball references in his rhyme. An interesting fact in the music video set is where Kobe Bryant meets his wife, Vanessa Bryant.

“What am I living for? From Italy to America, basketball, beats, broad, yes, it’s raw.”
