ladies and gentlemen. The next Skull session after this will kick off Game Week at Ohio State University.

But let’s not go too far. Friday’s Skull session still has much to read. We think you’ll love some of the content we have for the weekend.

Have a nice Friday.

“While I breathe, I hope.” Ohio State University offensive lineman Harry Miller announced his retirement from football on March 10 due to an ongoing battle with mental health.

On Thursday, Miller shared on Twitter that August 25 was the one-year anniversary of telling Ryan Day that he wanted to kill himself. I corresponded. Miller says the act saved his life.

Since Miller’s retirement, Day has created new opportunities to make an impact on the team without contributing to the field. Miller was seen helping offensive linemen at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center this fall, a charismatic and caring person who was always on the program.

“I’m still here on a day I never thought I’d see you,” Miller wrote. “It was a year of hurt but gratitude. Love is a lesson. Pain is a teacher. Sometimes we think we only have 4 minutes of strength when in fact we only have 3 minutes of strength.

Miller ended the tweet with the hashtag for the Latin phrase “Dum Spiro Spero.” This he used frequently on his social media platforms after his retirement. Its translation: While I breathe, I hope.

Thank you Harry Miller. You are an inspiration to many and Buckeye Nation is rooting for you.

Twenty-seven years later, there’s a giant board with a cropped screen showing replays of every game and fans cheering on the beloved Buckeyes. Seriously, if there wasn’t a screen somewhere in the stadium how did you watch the replay?

Also, I’d love to see what the other graphics look like on the big screen on the left. .

backeye way. Ohio State’s men’s basketball will see many turnovers from last season. New players, new coaches and the first two changes introduce new offensive and defensive schemes.

However, as long as Chris Holtman remains the program’s head coach, one thing about the program will always remain the same. That way, Holtman would do all the “backeye ways” he said in his June 2017 press conference that he would put this principle into practice.

“Aggressive, attacking,” Holtman said of what to expect from Ohio State’s style of play. “We want to be physical, tough and tough minded. We want our players to play freely. We want them to play freely. I think that’s what people see.”

Buckeye fans saw just how physically tough and tough-minded the men’s basketball team was when the program’s Twitter account posted highlights of team conditioning training inside Ohio Stadium.

Remember, this workout was done before sunrise. 6 am in August. That’s the Buckeye Way.
