South Carolina’s men’s basketball unconference schedule is taking shape.
On Tuesday, Shriners Children’s Charleston Classic released brackets for an eight-team tournament to be held at the TD Arena on November 17-18 and November 20. South Carolina will face Colorado on November 17th at 5 pm at ESPNU. Play either Davidson or the College of Charleston on November 18th.
Opposite the brackets include Ferman, Pennsylvania State University, Old Dominion, Virginia Tech, and the Championship Game will take place on November 20th at 3:30 pm on ESPN2.
The full USC schedule hasn’t been announced yet, but some non-conference matches between first-year head coach Lamont Paris and Gamecocks have already been announced. Gamecocks will travel to Georgetown on December 3rd and join the UAB on the road on December 14th. USC hosted both teams last season as part of the Home and Home series.
The USC will host West Kentucky on 22 December, South Carolina on 29 December, and rival Clemson on an unannounced day.
Stephen Igoe of Hoist the Colors When Bracket Rocco Mirror South Carolina will face East Carolina in a neutral site match at the Bonsecourt Wellness Arena in Greenville on December 17, but neither school has announced a match. Bracketeer also lists undecided home games against Presbyterians and USC Upstate and road matches against George Washington.
Last month, the SEC announced its men’s basketball opponents. The date and time will be announced at a later date. Gamecocks will host Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Texas A & M at the Colonial Life Arena and will travel to Florida, Kentucky, LSU and Missouri.
USC will play both home and away games for Georgia, Mississippi State University, Olemis University, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt University. All of these match times, dates, broadcast information, and USC non-conference schedules will be announced at a later date.
