- Florida announces 2023 schedule
Florida’s men’s tennis team has finalized its 2023 schedule, head coach Dwayne Hartquist announced Friday.
“I’m really excited about our schedule starting with two strong games in Hawaii,” said Hultquist. “We had a great non-meeting, including a home match against Georgia, Mississippi A game against Florida on the National Campus. This is probably the toughest schedule we’ve ever added, especially when you include the ever-aggressive ACC schedule. “
The schedule is underscored by a trip to Hawaii in early January and a three-game homestretch before competing in the ITA Kickoff Weekend hosted by Baylor. Florida State University will face the 14 teams that qualified for the 2022 NCAA Championship. - Vazquez, Moynihan Pace Knowles set national record at World Championships
The 2022 FINA Short Course World Championships came to a close on Sunday in Melbourne, Australia. Her seven swimmers associated with swimming and diving in Florida have contributed to five national records and her five personal best times.
Rebecca Moynihan and Carlos Vazquez set national records, while Max Wilson and Emma Terrebo swam personal bests.
Moynihan finished 15th in qualifying with a personal best of 24.59 to advance to the semi-finals of the Women’s 50 Free. She finished 16th with 24.67.
Moynihan was also part of four relay national records, including the women’s 4×100 medley and 4×50 free relay, in addition to both mixed relays at the competition.
Vazquez also set a national record for Honduras with 53.36 on 100 flies. Vasquez holds his 200 back, 50, 100, 200 fly, and 400 IM on the short course meter.
Wilson also swam personal bests in both the 50m and 100m back, and Televo fell just short of the 200m back semifinal after a career best in qualifying.

- 2022 USA Diving Winter National Championships
Florida State divers Samantha Vera and Jizzy Gregersen competed at the 2022 USA Winter National Diving Championships in Morgantown, West Virginia last week.
Beer qualified for the women’s 1m final after finishing 12th (216.85) in qualifying after five dives. Scores carried over and Vear in the final she added 231.00 and 447.85 moved her up to 10th place.
Earlier in the week, Vear qualified for the 3m qualifier and came in second with 243.25 points.
Gregersen competed in the women’s 3m (110.70) and platform (181.55) events and qualified 39th and 16th respectively.
The Seminoles head to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to face RV/No.25. LSUs January 7, 2023.
